GD (Group Discussion) Activities
Group discussion (GD) is an effective learning and assessment tool,
particularly in leadership, academic, and recruiting contexts. Group
discussion is a mass elimination tool during the selection process.
GDs simulate real-life team interactions where people must listen,
think, and speak effectively in a group, and GDs also encourage
participants to consider diverse perspectives, refine their own
thinking, and arrive at a balanced viewpoint. In addition, the GDs
also check skills like listening, comprehension, critical reasoning,
teamwork and collaboration, leadership, and time management. At Mawadi
University, the students undergo Group Discussion practice sessions
during the final year, and before the practice sessions, they are
given proper instructions related to the dos and don’ts of the GD.
